A course designed for parents and caregivers of mainly children up to eight years of age. It includes recognition of home hazards, accident prevention, and safety education. Skills focus on respiratory distress, CPR, AED, bleeding management and common first aid situations. This course is acknowledged by the Ministry of Health and the Provincial Child Care Facilities Licensing Board. (Certification period is three years, but recommended yearly recertification in CPR Level B, see HRT 012.)
